Will is a senior manager with ANMF and was part of the project team that delivered the 10-storey headquarters that was built to meet the growing needs of the Branch’s membership. Prior to this Will had a variety of management positions including retail and risk and compliance for national organisations.

Sue Coles
Director
Baenziger Coles

Sue Coles is a Director a Baenziger Coles, one of Melbourne’s leading architecture and interior design firms. Sue is a qualified interior designer with 36 years experience in a multitude of areas within the design and building industry.

Sue is passionate about sustainability which is reflected in designs which aim to provide well considered solutions incorporating ESD principles in ways that may not be immediately visible. She is a strong believer in ‘sourcing local’ and re-using and recycling materials wherever possible. Sue’s commitment to sustainability also carries over to the business. Sue has been actively involved in the Melbourne CitySwitch program, aiming at reducing energy consumption and improving the carbon footprint of the business.

Since 2012 the NABERS Energy Rating of the overall building has been improved by implementing numerous energy saving measures such as the installation of solar panels, floor insulation, behavioural changes, lighting and heating upgrades. The South Melbourne building has a rating of 5.5 stars with a goal to become carbon neutral in 2021.

 

Craig Heckenberg
Managing Director
Epson Australia

Craig Heckenberg has risen through the ranks at Epson Australia over 19 years with the company to most recently become Managing Director of Epson Australia.

Epson has had incredible growth under his stewardship including lifting commercial print revenue by over 450% and printer sales by over 170%. He also worked closely with his team to establish Epson Australia as the number one brand in high brightness projectors, successfully launched new businesses including Document Solutions, Industrial Label, Sign and Textile and has created and grown significant new business partnerships for the company.

Craig is responsible for Epson’s entire product portfolio of printers, scanners, projectors, commercial and industrial products for the Australia and New Zealand region. He also heads up the leadership team devising and setting the company’s overall strategy, policy, planning and business management goals.

 

Danielle King
CitySwitch Greater Metro Program Manager
City of Melbourne

Danielle is the Metro Program Manager for CitySwitch, meaning that she supports office-based businesses outside of the capital cities for CitySwitch.

CitySwitch helps office-based businesses to improve their energy and waste efficiency. The program, which is free to join, helps commercial office tenants around Australia to:

·       Enhance energy efficiency and reduce costs;

·       Manage energy price increases and mitigate business risks;

·       Work towards a carbon positive future;

·       Reduce waste; and

·       Improve the health and productivity of employees.

When businesses join CitySwitch they gain access to one-on-one support and a wide network of other companies also taking steps to improve their sustainability.

CitySwitch leverages NABERS Energy to empower businesses that lease office premises to make smart energy management investments.

Danielle supports CitySwitch through her base at the City of Melbourne and also is the Director and Founder of Green Moves Australia. Green Moves Australia provides consumers and businesses with a selection of sustainability services that are designed to minimise energy costs and reduce environmental footprints, providing independent advice and guidance on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Holly Taylor
Senior Manager, Projects & Partnerships
Energy Efficiency Council

Holly is Senior Manager, Projects and Partnerships at the Energy Efficiency Council, Australia’s peak body for energy efficiency, energy management and demand response. Holly leads the Council's projects and partnerships work, facilitating engagement with members, partners and stakeholders, and connecting them with all aspects of the Council's programs. She focuses on strategic projects that build the market for energy management by driving ambitious government policy and supporting business decision making and growth.

Holly has worked internationally with private and public sector clients that work on innovative solutions to tackle climate change. While in Europe, she worked with the UN and CDP. Most recently in the UK, Holly worked with a team that services English local authorities, facilitating the development and delivery of carbon management plans through the use of energy efficiency and renewable energy installation.

Roger Stamford
National Building Services Manager
Employers Mutual Limited

At EML, as Head of Building Services Roger has been able to ensure sustainability has been a key consideration in all of the new fit outs resulting in 5 – 6 star NABERS Energy ratings across the 14 tenancies, covering well over 20,000 square metres around the country.

Immediately pre-COVID, EML was rolling out a waste management program in order to increase its recycling from 30% to 75% in its major tenancies. EML had reached 55 – 60% before COVID saw all tenancies vacated.

While Roger has always been passionate about the environment in the workplace, he became heavily involved in the PwC Green Team in New York driving a successful “turn out the lights” campaign across the 25 floors of their main NYC tenancy.

He continued his sustainability activities at Sparke Helmore, establishing regular reporting on both electricity consumption and paper reduction initiatives.

His work before that was owning and / or running restaurants in Sydney (8 years), London (6 years) and Disneyland Paris (4 years).
